I’ve linked-up with a production company in Washington, DC to help me professionally produce, edit, and distribute my material for the masses. But production isn’t cheap – and traveling on my own dime for nearly three years straight and 76 countries has left me with little money to cover all the expenses.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 to get the final episodes of season one of this series completed. Each episode will feature a different country and will discuss the topics of humanity, culture, war, peace, prejudice, as well as a host of other political conversations and what we can do to create change. For your knowledge of what you will be contributing to: Episode 1 discusses peace and war in North Korea where I went as one of the last Americans before the government travel ban; Episode 2 shows the war with ISIS and war on drugs on innocent people in Philippines; Episode 3 features the 40 year war of Afghanistan, and my homecoming to the country of my ancestors for the first time where I will show you a side of Afghanistan that my insider knowledge allowed me access to, including an interview with
a member of the Taliban; Episode 4 displays the lives of the Rohingya minority of Myanmar, who are currently active victims of genocide, in their villages and in the camps of Bangladesh. Episode 5 takes place in Nigeria, analyzing the conflict of the Boko Haram militants and corruption that is holding back the nation. Future episodes in season 2 will be based in the Mediterranean and Europe, Syria, Israel, Yemen, and Sudan. But they can only happen with your help, as I cannot do this alone.. 100% of the funding will go towards the production of this series and will help pay our team of talented professionals, including editors, an esteemed music composer, professional animation team, website designer, and social media experts. It will also help pay for music licensing and rights, coloring the film, graphics work, audio mixing, legal and marketing fees, distribution and syndication.
Funding will immediately help us put the finishing touches on our North Korea episode, “The Last Americans” which is currently in post production – to be submitted for film festival consideration in 2019. Every dollar counts and will help the stories of the people we’ve met around the world be heard loud and clear with lasting impact towards improving their lives. Thank you in advance!
